 Ayo Fayose, Ekiti State governor, has appealed to the Federal government to increase the allowance of NYSC members from N19, 800 to N50, 000.  Represented at the ceremony by the state Commissioner for Information, Youths and Sports, Mr Lanre Ogunsuyi, Governor Fayose, pledged to make youth corps members stay in the state a memorable one. Ayo Fayose made the appeal at the closing ceremony of the orientation course of the 2017 batch “A” stream in the state. He said- “The state government will provide all the necessary support for the Corps members to make their service year memorable in the state”.

Until his death, Isiaka Adeleke was the first executive governor of Osun state, a three-term senator who was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2015. According to report, Adeleke died today,Sunday, April 23, 2017. He died suffering of heart attack and he pass  away in the hospital he was rushed to after the attack. The senator who represented Osun West Senatorial district, is an uncle to popular singer, Davido O.B.O He will be buried at his hometown in Ede tomorrow April 24th according to Muslim rites.
