Increase Corpers Allowance - Ayo Fayose Tells Governors

Ayo Fayose, Ekiti State governor, has appealed to the Federal government to increase the allowance of NYSC members from N19, 800 to N50, 000.

Represented at the ceremony by the state Commissioner for Information, Youths and Sports, Mr Lanre Ogunsuyi, Governor Fayose, pledged to make youth corps members stay in the state a memorable one.

Ayo Fayose made the appeal at the closing ceremony of the orientation course of the 2017 batch “A” stream in the state.
He said- “The state government will provide all the necessary support for the Corps members to make their service year memorable in the state”.

Landlord Kills Physically Challenged Tenant For Not Flushing Toilet In Ghana

A Ghanaian landlord has reportedly killed his physically-challenged tenant at Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region. The landlord, who is identified simply as Mr Oppong was reported to have confronted the tenant, Nana Konadu simply because she failed to flush the household toilet after use. According to Accra’s Rainbow radio, the landlord out of anger during the confrontation, hit Nana Konadu’s head with a metal object. After the incident, Nana complained of pains and was admitted to a hospital where she died three days after the attack. Doctors confirmed she died of blunt force trauma.
