8 Things You Can Do to Get a Job Despite Graduating with a 2.2(MUST READ)

Many Nigerian students spend the first two years of their stay in the university playing. Teenagers who have been caged for long use the opportunity to unleash the demons in them and know what it feels like to be free; afterwards, they settle down to the school business and find ways of making something good out of their lives. Lots of emphasis is always la!d on finishing with a ‘good grade’. Finishing with a good grade in Nigeria means either having a first class or 2.1 as a university graduate; anything short of this is considered not good enough. Also, most of the jobs applied for have certain requirements that the applicants are expected to have. The labour market favours those with good grades over people with 2.2. This is not to mean that graduates who have a third-class or a pass do not get good jobs at the end of the day. The thing done by the graduates after leaving school will determine how far they will go in getting their dream jobs. Check out the things you ca...

Toothbrushing Mistakes You Make and How to Fix Them

As easy as it may seem to do, very few of us brush our teeth as well as we could. Thankfully, where there are mistakes, there are ways to fix them. 1. You pick the wrong brush. How do you choose from the mind-melting selection of brushes at your local supermarket? Kimberly Harms, a dentist from Farmington, MN, says make sure your brush can cover the places that need covering. That’s everywhere you should be able to reach with a toothbrush. It can be a power toothbrush or a manual one. But there is one rule Harms says isn’t negotiable. “The one thing that we really insist upon -- it’s very important -- is it has to have soft bristles,” she says. “The bristles need to be able to bend, to kind of get right under that gum.” The size of the brush’s head is important, too, especially if you have a smaller mouth. Brushes also have various sizes of handles and different angles. Some are more flexible than others. But the critical part, dentists agree, is the bristles that remove...

7 Scary But Normal Things That Happen To Women During Sex

Gone are the days when people thought women were inherently squeamish about sex. And good riddance. It's so obvious, it seems silly to even say it, but women are every bit as interested in having sex as men -- and just as comfortable with the nitty gritty. But sometimes, things happen during sex that can take even the most sexually confident of us aback. There are sounds, and smells and feelings that make us stop and think ... "Uh, what just happened?" "Is that normal?" So we asked a team of sex-health experts to spill: What are some typical things that happen to women during sex, but that you never really hear people cop to or wonder about? And what, if anything, do they mean? Here's what they said. 1. You're Dry: It's very common for women to become (or stay) dry or irritated during sex. In fact, roughly one-third of young women say they experience vaginal dryness. But lubrication is one of the keys to a pleasurable, comfortable sexual...

See The world’s 9mmmm smartest animals

We humans have the ability to learn, to reason and solve problems. We're self-aware, and we're also conscious of the presence, thoughts and feelings of others. We make tools and practice the art of deception. We're creative. We think abstractly. We have language and use it to express complex ideas. All of these are arguably signs of intelligence. Scientists may not agree on the best and fullest definition of intelligence — but they generally agree that humans are highly intelligent. Other members of the animal kingdom exhibit signs of intelligence as well, and some scientists might say the definition of animal vs. human intelligence is merely a matter of degree - a point that was brought home in 2005 when the London Zoo put "Homo sapiens" on display in the exhibit pictured here. Click ahead to learn about nine other species that stand out for their smarts. 1. Chimps are almost like us If we humans possess intelligence, chimpanzees must have some as well: O...

Ten Reasons to go to Church(must read for all Christians)

Why on earth would you, a busy person, want to sacrifice what little R&R time you have to attend public worship regularly? In the final analysis, those who attend public worship regularly do so because they believe they are gaining much more than they are giving up. The benefits of attending far outweigh any deficits (real or imagined). If you have never attended a Christian congregation regularly or have fallen into a habit of not doing so, and especially if you don't feel ready or motivated to go, I invite you to read the following "Ten Good Reasons to go to Church." 1. To have fellowship with the crucified and risen Christ If you knew that Jesus Himself was going to be at a particular place on a regular basis, would you not be motivated to go? The local Christian congregation is that place. Christians gather publicly to be with their risen Savior. When they worship, the Lord Himself is present! Though it is true that Christ is always with individual believe...

You’ll love how much you save by not buying the store bought stuff. 2. Think about what goes into your body. Take a second to intellectually process your food, consider what’s in it and where it comes from. 3. Do something that’s genuinely for you, something that gives you pleasure. Remember to live for yourself every once in awhile and think about yourself when you’re thinking about others. 4. Look at someone directly in the eyes while they’re speaking to you. Show them how present you are to the conversation, that this interaction and relationship truly mean something to you. 5. Genuinely thank someone for something. It doesn’t have to be for anything they’ve done. You can thank your mother for not drowning you every time you were a total tool as a teenager, your friends for putting up with you or your partner for being the only person ...
