Gorgeous Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade has added her voice to the ongoing mass protest across cities in Nigeria aimed at forcing the government come to the help of the people.



Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade has reacted to the nationwide protest being held today by Nigerians against the government over the devastating condition of things in the country.

The singer pitched her tent with the common man as she wrote: "#istandwithnigeria. The price of Attachment for braids have increased from #500 to #1500 per pack! #50 agege bread is now #100.

What about kereosene price!! Okada no dey collect #50 again sef!

The protest gained momentum in Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Port Harcourt and other places in Nigeria as thousands came out to protest peacefully. Charly Boy Oputa and other celebrities were in Lagos to motivate the protesters as they walked for miles along the streets in protest.

According to an online report, the management of University of Lagos (UNILAG) has introduced a new dress code for the students of the institution. The new dress code is said to have been introduced to curb indecent dressing among the male and female students and a ban has been placed on wearing of any tight clothing, spaghetti tops, tubes, skirts and dresses with slits above the knee among others. According to the notice which was pasted in the school, today, February 7, 2017 lecturers have been empowered to correct erring students. The notice stated that lecturers and administrators are empowered to correct and exclude students from lectures and official business when they are not properly dressed according to the new dress code .
